    I once read a glass of milk after training can help you recover don't know how true this is
    I think you would be surprised at how little our bodies need to eat so yes i would go quality over quantity
    i go by the old rule if nit comes out of a packet it probably is not good for you
    If your body can handle it train it is better than sitting around doing jack

    You have not mentioned about your periods. I presume you are not taking any other medications,to rule out side effects. Check your Hormone levels. If they are normal ,it will be better to switch over to low -dose.
