You start mucking around with it too much and you WILL lose perfomrance and make the car run worse (if it doesn't already). When adding high perf exhausts you usually have to alter something on the intake side as well, or the car will not run right. It is cheating plain and simple. If his particular drug was illegal, and he gets caught with them, he may never be able to advance in that field with a conviction of that sort. And physically steroids do every bit as much harm to some people as they do good. Only the lucky get away undamaged in the long term.
